There are seasons in life that arrive quietly—not with urgency, but with reflection. For Kim Russell Wright, that season came after decades of leadership, achievement, and building a life centered around family, career, and community.

With 27 years in banking and finance, followed by 11 years in residential homebuilding—where she served as both company president and head of sales and marketing—Kim’s career was defined by strength, strategy, and success. She led, she built, she accomplished. Yet beyond the titles and professional milestones, her greatest pride has always lived closer to home.

She is, first and foremost, a wife. A mother to three grown children. A “YaYa” to a joyful two-year-old grandson. And, as she will happily add with a smile, a devoted owner of three very active Goldendoodles—“just icing on the cake.”

“I’m most proud of my family,” she says simply. “That has always been the most important part of my life.”

A graduate of the University of Alabama, Kim had spent more than a decade as a homeowner along Florida’s Scenic Highway 30A before making the decision to call it home full time. With her husband preparing for retirement, the transition felt natural—almost inevitable. “We love it here,” she says. “The people, the lifestyle, the sense of community—it’s unlike anywhere else.”

And yet, even in a place as vibrant and beautiful as 30A, something deeper was unfolding. Life was shifting in ways both subtle and profound. “As Jane Fonda would say, I was entering my ‘last act,’” Kim reflects.

“It’s hard to explain,” she says. “It wasn’t just learning the game—it was everything that came with it.” The conversations lingered. The laughter came easily. The sense of connection—immediate and genuine—felt like something she hadn’t realized she was missing.
