Family has always been at the heart of everything Christy does. After raising two children with her husband, Rob, and spending decades building businesses together, they chose to make 30A home after years of vacationing here with their family, falling in love with the beaches, and the memories they created along the way.

But as beautiful as the area is, Christy quickly realized that finding genuine community in a place where so many people are just passing through wasn’t as easy as finding the perfect place to live.

That changed when she and her friend Kim sat down for their first Mahjong lesson. What began as learning a new game quickly grew into something neither expected: deep friendships, shared celebrations, and a circle of women who genuinely show up for one another. Mahjong became much more than a game. It became a way to find their people and build the community they’d been missing.

That same spirit led Christy and Rob to launch That’s Mahj, an idea born from their own poolside Mahjong games that grew into a business serving players across the country. But the greatest gift Mahjong has given her isn’t business. It’s the friendships, the laughter, and the feeling of belonging.

Today, Christy is proud to be part of 30A Mahjong Studio, helping create a space where women can gather, laugh, learn, and build lasting friendships.

When she’s not at the Studio, Christy treasures time with her family, celebrating new chapters like becoming a grandmother, traveling, discovering unique boutiques, enjoying a great meal and glass of champagne with friends, and making memories with the people she loves most.

Her hope is that everyone who walks through the doors finds their people and knows there’s always a seat waiting at the table.
