Its all about friendship, community, laughter & a reason to gather.
Mahjong has always been more than a game for us. It is ritual, rhythm, strategy, style, memory, travel, table talk, and most of all it’s the beautiful art of gathering.
Mahjong for us began with a class, and a summer challenge session. Eighteen months later, it has become a passion, a business, and, in Kim’s words, a kind of ministry.
After years of coming and going from the Panhandle, we found that mahjong helped us feel more rooted here.
That experience sparked the idea for 30A Mahjong Studio, a welcoming place where players can book a seat, choose their tiles, sit down, and play without having to drive all over town or organize a group on their own.
“Kim and I walked into that first class together having no idea how much one little game was about to change our lives. We thought we were learning Mahjong. What we really found was our community.”
